PORTALES, NM – The latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll was released for indoor track & field on Tuesday afternoon. The Eastern New Mexico University men’s team was recognized for its continued strong performance this year, ranking 14th in the country.
The ranking is the highest ever for the program in indoor track & field, and comes right after the previous high rank of 22nd. The team is paced by Marcus Parker and Kenneth Lloyd, who have posted automatic qualification in a combined three events. Parker ranks second in the nation in the 200m dash and third in the 60m dash. Lloyd is third in the NCAA Division II in the high jump. Ivar Moinat has also provisionally qualified in the 800m run and ranks 41st in the country.
The NCAA Division II Championship meet will begin on Friday, March 9, 2018. The event will be hosted by Pittsburg State (Kan.).
