PORTALES, NM – The latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll was released for indoor track & field on Monday afternoon. The Eastern New Mexico University men’s team was recognized for its continued strong performance this year, ranking 13th in the country.
The ranking is the highest ever for the program in indoor track & field, and comes one week after the previous high rank of 14th. The team is paced by Marcus Parker and Kenneth Lloyd. The duo posted automatic qualification in a combined three events. Parker will compete in the 200m dash and 60m dash at the championship meet. Lloyd is headed to the NCAA Championships to complete in the high jump. The duo will be joined by Danee Bustos from the Greyhound women’s team, who provisionally qualified for the 200m dash.
The NCAA Division II Championship meet will begin on Friday, March 9, 2018. The event will be hosted by Pittsburg State (Kan.).
