Eastern New Mexico head football coach, Tye Hiatt, recently announced the 2022 class on National Signing Day.
“We are excited to announce the addition of these young men and their families to the Greyhound Football program, campus community, and city of Portales. Our coaching staff did a nice job of addressing the needs within our program and we firmly believe that each of these young men will be an important piece to our program,” said Hiatt.
In total, 24 student-athletes from 4 different states will join the Greyhounds for the 2022 campaign. The Hounds saw eight in-state signings, while ten more came from Texas, four from California, and two from Arizona.
Among the signees are numerous All-District and All-State honorees, All-Star game participants, and an NJCAA Division I National Champion.

“While we are happy with this initial announcement of the signing class, our coaching staff will be working hard to add more pieces as we go through the spring and head into summer workouts,” Hiatt added.
