RICHARDSON, Texas – The Eastern New Mexico track and field program saw four student-athletes earn various all-conference honors after the 2021 LSC Outdoor Track and Field Championships last weekend. Malethabo SeemaMercy Rotich, and Jessica Campbell earned spots on the All-LSC Teams while Caroline Bachman was named to the All-LSC Academic Team.

Seema was named First Team All-LSC after winning the 800-meter run in Saturday’s finals with a time of 2:19.02. She finished the meet with a total of 10 points.

Rotich earned Second Team All-LSC honors after finishing fourth in both the 10000m and 5000m runs. Those performances gave her and the team 10 points.

Joining Rotich on the second team was Campbell. She earned a bronze medal in the heptathlon with a program-record score of 4840. Overall, Campbell gave the team a total of 10 points with six in the heptathlon and four in the javelin after a fifth-place finish.

Bachman was named to the All-LSC Academic Team for her efforts in the classroom throughout the season. This is the third time she has won the honor, as she was previously named to the academic team in 2019 (outdoor) and 2020 (indoor). To be eligible for LSC academic honors, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.30 grade point average and have reached sophomore status both athletically and academically.
