After winning their district championship of the regular season, Floyd competed in a district tournament in the 2nd round against Dora. Elida and Dora faced off on November 4, with Dora winning 3-2. That set Floyd up to face Dora on November 5.
The game was a nail biter between the two teams. Dora came out on top of the first two sets 25-20 and 26-24. The Lady Broncos rallied in the 3rd set and won it 25-12. Floyd then continued to dominate the game, and won the final two sets 25-19 and 15-10. The 3 winning sets gave Floyd the win for the game, and moves them on to the final game for the tournament title,
The Lady Broncos are now season 15-5 and 9-1 in district as they seek a 2nd title this season! If they win on November 7 against Gateway Christian, they’ll claim the district tournament title, and will set their sights on state, where they are currently ranked No. 5 behind Melrose, Logan, Pune Hill, and Quemado.
