Local favorite Will Banister will perform Thursday night and on Sunday. We will also have several new acts this year. Something new we are going to add this year is a dance floor.
We have had several requests for this and we think it will attract a few new folks. Doors open at 6pm each night and 1:30 on Sunday. Admission is $7. Military with ID will be admitted for $5.
The Lions Club was founded by Melvin Jones in Chicago in 1917. Mr. Jones was introduced to Helen Keller. she made a request that the Lions Club make eye care one of their top fund raising priorities. The Lions Club has grown to be one of the largest service club organizations in the world. Lubbock, Texas has the largest Lions Club in the world. The Floyd Lions Club could be one of the smallest with 12 active members. We might be small but we are dedicated and have raised a considerable amount of money for numerous worthy causes over the years.
The Floyd Jamboree is great fun for everyone. Be sure to mark your calendar. See you there!
