First in the Field Crane Hunt – Arch, NM

This FREE hunt is open to ages 11 and up. Participants ages 11-18 must have completed their Hunter Education Certification and must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age.
Camp is open to a total of 20 participants on a first-come-first-serve basis, but preference will be given to those that have never possessed a New Mexico hunting license.
All meals, shotguns, ammo, and other needed equipment will be provided by First in the Field and the NM Department of Game and Fish. Indoor accommodations will also be provided by the Village of Arch, NM or you may also bring your RV or camper. A full packet with maps, supply list, and other details will be provided after registration.
Participants should arrive in Arch, NM, Friday, December 1st by 6pm. Camp ends at 1pm on Sunday, December 3rd.
Attendees will participate in a hunter education refresher, shotgun skills class, spend time on a clay range, and hunt cranes with expert mentors. There will also be talks on game bird ID, rules and regulations, and waterfowl habitat.
