Episode five of the “Inside Greyhound Athletics Podcast” featuring head softball coach Kira Zeiter is now available.

The Inside Greyhound Athletics Podcast gives Eastern New Mexico fans a chance to hear about the past, current and future states of each athletic program. Coach Zeiter recaps a tremendous 2020 season that was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but saw her squad finish second in the Lone Star Conference standings with a record of 5-1 in league play.

Coach Zeiter takes a look at the development of the program during her first two years at the helm and gives an inside look on what exactly her and her staff were looking for in their first full recruiting class. That class made an immediate impact on the field, finishing with four straight LSC wins to end the season, including a doubleheader sweep of arch-rival West Texas A&M.

Coach Zeiter discusses what those wins that snapped a 35-game losing streak to the Lady Buffs meant to her young team as well as the impact that the increased expectations of having a successful 2020 season will have on the 2021 campaign.
