PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico women’s soccer head coach Abbey Barnum announced the schedule for the upcoming 2021 season.

“While we had the unfortunate circumstance of not being able to play this past spring with the rest of the Lone Star Conference, it gave our program a huge sense of gratitude, eagerness, and increased competitiveness as we looked toward the fall,” said Barnum, “We are extremely grateful that we will be able to play soccer again this upcoming semester and I’ve never met a more determined and enthusiastic team.”

The Greyhounds open the schedule with five non-conference tilts. Eastern hosts Colorado State University Pueblo on September 2 and Colorado Christian University on Sept. 5 before heading to Western Colorado University for a contest on Sept. 10. The Hounds then face Fort Lewis College on Sept. 15 with the game played on the campus of UNM.

“We are excited for our non-conference games against some very strong teams to kick-start our fall season. We look forward to competing with each of them in order to help us prepare for conference play,” said Barnum.

Eastern finishes up non-conference action with a contest at Metropolitan State University of Denver on Sept. 18.

ENMU welcomes Texas Woman’s on Sept. 22 to kick off Lone Star Conference play. The September slate wraps up with road contests at Angelo State on the 25th and Midwestern State on the 29th.

The Hounds face St. Edward’s on October 2 and then travel to St. Mary’s on Oct. 9.

Oklahoma Christian heads to Portales for a contest on Oct. 13 before Eastern hits the road for an Oct. 16 game at Texas A&M International and an Oct. 20contest at UT Permian Basin.

The Greyhounds host Dallas Baptist in Greyhound Stadium on Oct. 23 and then head to West Texas A&M on the 27th.

Eastern takes on Texas A&M Commerce on Oct. 30and Lubbock Christian on November 3 before wrapping up the regular season at UT Tyler on November 6. Lone Star Conference tournament play will begin on Nov. 9.
