PORTALES, NM – Sept. 23, 2021 – 2021 marks Eastern New Mexico University’s 87th Homecoming celebration. Festivities begin on the Portales campus Monday, Sept. 27, with students presenting musical skits in “Songfest” at 6 p.m. in the Campus Union Ballroom, and end Saturday, Oct. 2, with the Homecoming parade and football game against Lincoln University of California.
This year’s homecoming theme is “Coming Back to Life,” signifying ENMU’s first in-person scheduled Homecoming in two years.
Friday, Oct. 1, features the annual Homecoming golf tournament, an alumnus mix and mingle event from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the Campus Union Zia Room, and concludes with the annual bonfire and pep rally at 7 p.m. at Greyhound Arena.
Saturday, Oct. 2, features events for alumni, students, friends and family members kicking off with the ENMU Foundation awards breakfast at 8 a.m. which honors prominent alumni and ENMU donors. Homecoming events continue throughout the day with the annual homecoming parade at 11 a.m., the alumni pre-game tailgate party at 3 p.m.and the Homecoming football game at 6 p.m. vs. Lincoln University of California
