Head baseball coach Riley Price recently announced the final 2022 Eastern New Mexico baseball schedule. The season will consist of seven home series and six on the road.

“We are very excited about having a normal spring season. With all of our games having been played on the road last year, our players are really looking forward to playing home games this spring, especially our returners who had to grind through tough circumstances last year,” said Price.

The Greyhounds start the season on the road against St. Edward’s University February 4-6. Games are back to the normal Lone Star Conference format of single games on Friday and Sunday, and a doubleheader on Saturday.

Eastern’s home opener will be Feb. 11-13 when West Texas A&M University travels to Portales.

The Hounds’ lone non-conference games of the year will be against Adams State University on Feb. 19-20. ENMU will then end the month at Cameron University on Feb. 25-27.

March will consist of two home stands and two series on the road. Eastern will host the University of Texas Permian Basin (March 4-6) and the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith (March 18-20) and travel to the University of Texas at Tyler (March 11-13) and Oklahoma Christian University (March 25-27).

In April, fans will be able to catch games at Greyhound Baseball Field against St. Mary’s University (April 1-3), Angelo State University (April 14-16), and Texas A&M University Kingsville (April 29-May 1).

The final road contests of the season will pit the Hounds against Lubbock Christian University (April 8-10) and Texas A&M International University (April 22-24).

“We’ve put a lot of hard work in this fall and have witnessed a lot of improvements as a whole. There will be a lot of guys competing for roles this year as our depth is stronger than it was last season. If we continue to improve in the area of consistency on both sides of the ball, this group can accomplish some great things moving into the spring,” Price said.
