PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico Athletics will be offering free admission to any spectator who brings two canned food items to the next three Eastern New Mexico home basketball games on Dec. 19th, Dec. 21st and Jan. 4th.
The athletic department will donate the canned food items to local food drives across the High Plains region in an effort to promote attendance to the games over the course of the holiday break. The Hounds will welcome UAFS and Oklahoma Christian to Greyhound Arena for both men’s and women’s Lone Star Conference home openers on Dec. 19th and 21st before welcoming arch-rival West Texas A&M to Portales on Jan. 4th.
The women’s basketball team will tip-off at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 19th against UAFS and the men’s basketball team will tip-off at 7:30 p.m. Tip-off for the Saturday games on Dec. 21st and Jan. 4th are scheduled for 2 p.m. for the women’s games and 4 p.m. for the men’s games.
Two canned food items will be good one for one general admission ticket per day, good for both the women’s and men’s games. ENMU Student I.D.’s and Military I.D.’s will still be honored with free admission and individuals that come to the game without two canned food items will be charged the full price of admission.
