ENMU Athletics and Enchantment Vineyards Partner for Alcoholic Beverage Sales

PORTALES, N.M. – The Eastern New Mexico University athletic department has been approved to start the sale of alcohol at sporting events. This first-time opportunity will take place on February 26^th, 2022 at Greyhound Arena during the men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader versus Western New Mexico University. Enchantment Vineyards will offer a variety of different wines and beers for fans to experience.

“This is an exciting step forward for Greyhound Athletics as we stretch our athletic experience for all,” said Dr. Weir. “We are fortunate to have a growth-minded leadership team here at ENMU as well as a terrific partnership with Enchantment Vineyards to offer a safe avenue to further enjoy our events. Our fans are the backbone of our student-athlete competitive experience, so providing them greater freedoms while they support our young men and women is win-win for all of us.”

Enchantment Vineyards is based in Portales, New Mexico. It is home to a local, family owned and operated vineyard and tasting room.
