Elida Boys Knocked Out of the State Tournament

Elida Boys Basketball faced Gateway Christian from Roswell, on Saturday in Roswell, as their first round of the state tournament. Elida was placed at seed 9 in NMAA Class 1A, and Gateway Christian is seed 8, so the matchup was expected to be a close one.

Gateway Christian ran away with the score and ended up defeating the Tigers by a large margin. The deficit of the Tigers at the end of the game was 51-29. The loss knocked Elida out of the state tournament, and moved Gateway Christian forward to the next round.

Elida Boys finished the season 15-11, and 6-4 in district.
