Portales, NM – Jan 12, 2024 – Eastern New Mexico University welcomes students back to campus for the start of the spring semester on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024, with lots of exciting events planned to kick off the spring semester.

“We hope our students had a wonderful and restful break. I know the campus and community have missed them,” said James Johnston, ENMU Chancellor. “There are many campus activities to look forward to, and I know faculty and staff are ready for another great semester.”

The Office of Campus Life and the Office of Multicultural Affairs are planning many fun events to welcome our students back to campus, including.

Additionally, on Friday, Jan. 19, ENMU will announce their acts for their annual spring concert, held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Greyhound Arena. ENMU will bring a headliner who has sold over 14 million albums and has had several number-one hits.

Other exciting events happening on campus include unveiling the new ENMU academic and spirit branding on Tuesday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m. This event will feature the unveiling of the new ENMU brand, with a short presentation, followed by the opportunity for students to pick up t-shirts, winter headbands, or car decals with the new logos on them, as well as have a free lunch courtesy of the President’s office.

The Eastern New Mexico University Department of Music begins its spring concert series on Friday, Jan. 26, with its first spring performance, titled “Into the Wild: A Recital Inspired By Nature” at Buchanan Hall, in the Music Building at 7 p.m. This concert is free and open to the public.

In addition to the fine arts, ENMU athletics is in full swing with home events for Men’s and Women’s basketball and spring sports, including baseball and softball, starting the first week of February.
