PORTALES, NM – March 24, 2022 – ENMU’s Chamber Singers will be featured in Manhattan Concert Production’s Vivaldi’s Gloria & Songs of Struggle and Reconciliation at New York City’s Carnegie Hall, Monday, March 28, 2022, at 8 p.m., under the direction of ENMU Director of Choral Activities Dr. Jason Paulk

Paulk was invited in March 2021 by Manhattan Concert Productions to conduct the Masterworks Festival Chorus in New York City. Due to COVID, this performance was canceled; in the interim, the president and founder of the Masterworks Festival Chorus—Craig Arnold—asked the ENMU Chamber Singers to attend the residency and perform a solo recital during the same concert on March 28, 2022.

“I am thrilled, as is our ensemble,” Paulk said. “I want to extend a heartfelt thanks to our ENMU Foundation who stepped up and made it possible for us to travel as a full ensemble. This is the first time in my 17 years at ENMU that we have been able to travel with an intact choir. What an incredible blessing.”

The Masterworks Festival Chorus includes ensembles from around the country including Chowan University, Denver School of the Arts, Fordham University, Ouachita Baptist University and Salem Hills High School. The ENMU Chamber Singers will perform two selections as a solo recital, including “I Will Lift Mine Eyes” by Jake Runestad and “All of Us” by Craig Hella Johnson.
