In 1958, Dorothy married her teenage love, Onesimo Chacon and had her son, James and later her daughter, Carla.  Although this union did not last, Dorothy always held fond memories of Onie. In 1986, Dorothy married Richard Molano, whom passed away in 1991.  In 2005, Dorothy married Dwayne Glover, with whom she shared 12 years together before his passing in 2017.

Dorothy was a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ and was a member of University Baptist Church.  She retired from ENMU after working in various capacities for over 20 years. She loved reading her bible and sharing bible verses with whomever she met.  She loved doing puzzles and playing board games. She especially loved spending time with family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers William, Richard, Harvey, Dean, Calvin and Robert; sisters Fay, Francis, Birtha, Estelene, Ruby, and Mildred; and husbands Onesimo Chacon, Richard Molano, and Dwayne Glover.
