The Dora Lady Coyotes are at the Jal Invitational this weekend, facing some tough small town opponents. Their first game was against Loving, but at the time of this article, no scores had been reported. Their second game of the tournament was against Eunice on Sept. 3 at 12 PM.
The match went into 4 sets to finalize a winner. The first set was won by Eunice by a huge margin. The score of that set was 25-9. The Lady Coyotes rallied in the 2nd set, falling short by just 3 points, where Eunice took another set win of 25-22. Dora was still in the game though, and fought hard to overcome the Lady Cardinals in the 3rd. The score for Dora’s set win was 25-23.T
he win sent the two teams into a 4th set, where unfortunately, Eunice came out on top. The Lady Cardinals defeated Dora 25-17, finalizing the match score of 3-1 over Dora.
The Lady Coyotes are now 1-1 this season, and face Jal at 4 PM on Friday, Sept 3 in the tournament.
