Dora played Jal for their 3rd meeting this season. The match was a tough fight for both teams. Set wins went back and forth. In fact, the game was so tight that it went into 5 sets!
The first set was won by Jal, who just barely scraped past Dora 25-20. In set 2, the Lady Coyotes took charge and defeated Jal 25-19. Jal came back in the 3rd set though, winning it 25-16. Then in the 4th, spectators weren’t sure who would come out on top. Jal served towards the end of the set and ended up tacking on just a few extra points, ending the set with a score of 25-21.
With such mixed set wins after 4, the teams rolled into the 5th, and Jal managed to squeeze past 2-points more than Dora, ending the final set 17-15. The final match score was 3-2 in Jal’s favor.
The loss puts Dora at 1-4 this season. Their next game is on September 21 at 4:30 PM in Clovis against Clovis Christian.
