PORTALES, NM – This Thursday and Saturday, the Eastern New Mexico University athletic department will host its final two basketball doubleheaders of the season at Greyhound Arena. Don’t miss any of the give-a-ways, prizes or fun filled competitions. Greyhound Arena is the place to be this week!
When Are the Games
The Greyhounds will take on Midwestern State in the annual Pink Out Game (for breast cancer awareness) on Thursday evening. The contests are sponsored by Graphic Connection, with the women’s game tipping off at 5:30 p.m. and men at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday’s home finale is sponsored by Rooney Moon Broadcasting. The games will start at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., with each team honoring its seniors beforehand.
Come Early
On Thursday, the first 100 students to show proof they follow ENMU Athletic social media will receive Pink Out T-shirts. On Saturday Eastern Athletics will be giving away free slices of pizza to ENMU students.

Don’t miss your chance to win a LSC championship package, including 4 tickets to the tournament, and a C&S gas card! To participate and win you must follow the instructions below
- Thursday Game vs Midwestern (PINK OUT)
- a picture with an ENMU sports administration staff or an ENMU basketball coach
- a picture inside the arena wearing pink
- a picture of the first Greyhound women’s player to score
- Saturday Game vs Cameron (SENIOR NIGHT)
- a picture with the mascot or cheerleader
- a picture of the jump ball at the start of the women’s game
- a picture of the first Greyhound men’s player to score
The first student to have all 3 pictures, with all requirements posted to Instagram, will be the winner of the LSC package. All pictures must be posted on Instagram (story or actual post) with @enmuathletics tagged in picture. The student also must have their full name in one of the 3 posts. WE WILL NOT ANNOUNCE HANDLE NAMES. Winner to be announced at halftime of the men’s game.
Fun Filled Halftime
On Thursday, ENMU Athletics will welcome the Portales REC Cheerleaders for a halftime performance.
Saturday’s halftime is action packed! We will honor the senior members of the spirit squad and have a performances by the Freshman Wildcat dance team from Clovis. We also will feature the JP Stone Community Bank ‘Beat the Prez’ Free Throw Shooting Competition, in which students will compete against ENMU President Dr. Jeff Elwell for the opportunity to win $200.
How to Follow the Games Away From Home
If you can’t make it to Greyhound Arena, both nights of action will be broadcast on KSEL Country 105.9 FM, and will feature the “Voice of the Greyhounds” Dr. Don Elder. All four games will also be video streamed free of charge by KENW TV.
