Visitation for Donita Jean (Welch) Noble, 76, of Friona, TX will be from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM, Wed., Nov. 30, 2022 at Wheeler Mortuary with cremation to follow.

Donita Noble was born Oct. 6, 1946 in Turlock, CA, and died very unexpectedly on Nov. 23, 2022 in Wichita Falls, TX while on vacation with her husband.  Donita grew up in Portales.  For several years, she was employed at College Cleaners.  On Dec. 15, 1986, she was married to Anthony Noble in Ruidoso, NM.  Donita loved traveling to visit family members and to go to the casinos where she played the slot machines.  Throughout her lifetime, she had crocheted countless Afghans which she gave to various family members.  In 1993, she and her husband moved to Friona, TX to be closer to his work.  They purchased a home there which they remodeled and sold.  They went on to purchase another home, which they also remodeled.  Donita loved decorating those houses, and now this second house will be passed on to their daughter, Jessica.

She is survived by Anthony, her husband of almost 36 years of Friona, TX; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Johnny Stegall of Amarillo, TX and Anthony and Shelia Noble of Warren, OR; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Cindy Stegall of Friona, TX, Marilyn and Antonio Dominguez of Portales, Jessica Stegall of Friona, TX and Monica and Robert Miner of Tenino, WA; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law, David Welch and Jimmy and Debbie Welch of Portales; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Janice and Danny Bennett of Clarendon, TX and Beverly and Kevin Boyd of Bosque Farms, NM.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Wilburn “Shorty” Welch.
