BRENHAM, TX – Donald Ray Smith, 84, of Brenham, Texas graduated into his heavenly
home on June 5, 2024, at his Brenham, Texas home surrounded by his family. He was born
September 25, 1939 in Hobbs, New Mexico, attending Eunice schools, EHS 1958, and
ENMU 1964. Donald Ray Smith leaves behind his wife, Herma Loy Elliott Smith, who was a native of Portales, graduated in 1964 from ENMU with a Bachelors in Music Education, and she held the title Miss New Mexico 1962.
A visitation will be held on Friday, 6/14/24, 5:30-7:30pm at Memorial Oaks
Chapel, Brenham, TX. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, 6/15/24, 10:30am at
First Baptist Church, 304 N. Market Street, Brenham, TX under the direction of Memorial
Oaks Chapel, Brenham, Texas
