Donald Mitchell Glenn was born February 21, 1942 in Roswell, New Mexico to Andrew and Velma Glenn. He spent his younger years on the family ranch 40 miles east of Roswell and moved with his family to Fruita, Colorado where he graduated from Fruita High School in 1960. He attended Mesa College in Grand Junction and worked at various jobs around the area until he entered the U.S. Army in 1964. After basic training he was sent to South Korea where he spent most of his deployment. He returned to Grand Junction and returned to Mesa College. In June, 1967 he was married to Mary Anna Graybeal. In December of that year they moved to Ft. Collins, CO. where he continued his studies and graduated from CSU with a degree in Political Science. They returned to Grand Junction where he was employed.
Three children were born to that union, which later ended in divorce. He is survived by Donna Glenn of Loveland, CO, Brenda Glenn of Portales, NM. and Brian (Lisa) Glenn of Corvallis, Mt. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Ashley Boden and Breanna Boden of Ft. Collins, CO., Samuel Glenn-King of Loveland, CO, Matthew, Tyler and Tanner Glenn of Corvallis, Mt. and a great-grandson, Colden Riggs of Ft. Collins. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Corky and Rex Glenn and 2 sisters, Dolores Davis and Carolyn Taylor and numerous nieces and nephews.
Don was a fountain of knowledge and loved to teach and challenge anyone to a game of chess. He enjoyed going on what he called his walkabouts and traveled around the country.
