Obituary

Dori Henson was born June 4, 1970 in El Paso, TX to the home of Betty Tolitha (Weems) and Willie Lee Inge and passed away early on the morning of Sept 20, 2023 in Clovis, NM at the age of 53 years. Dori grew up in Alamogordo where her parents owned a combination restaurant, gas station and convenience store.  Dori worked in the restaurant as a waitress, and it was there that she learned to cook.  Throughout her life, she was an excellent cook.  Later her father established a truck repair shop that she managed from 2009 until 2017.  On June 4, 2022 in Clovis, she was married to Rick Henson.

Dori was a life coach, as well as doing secretarial and managerial work.  She was also involved in network marketing, and for several years was associated with Mannatech Vitamins.  She loved doing craft projects, and making cards for virtually every occasion.  Dori was a generous spirit, and always gave more than she took.  Her greatest satisfaction came from knowing that she had been able to help someone.

Survivors include her husband, Rick of their home in Clovis; a daughter and son-in-law, Brandie and Morris Archer of Portales; three sons, Quintin McKinley and Cameron McKinley and his fiancé, Mariah Sales of Clovis and Tyler McKinley and his wife, Jennifer Harper of Portales; her father, Willie Inge of Alamogordo, NM; a sister, Deborah Gonzalez her husband, Jose of El Paso, TX; and 12 grandchildren, Tera DeLeon, Dixie McKinley, Jonathan McKinley, Kaylaha McKinley, Gabi McKinley, Emily McKinley, Shane Archer, Brayden Roberts, Austin McKinley, Brenna McKinley, Harper McKinley and Landon McKinley.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Tolitha Inge, a brother, David Inge, and two sons, Sam McKinley, Jr. and Austin Lee Inge.
