Obituary
A graveside service for Deana Forrer, 76, of Amarillo, formerly of Dora, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 27, 2021, at the Mt. Zion Cemetery with Merle Roehr officiating. Sammy Joe Watson, Teddy Daniel Zachary, Robert Lee Forrer, Jeremy Siewert, Justin Siewert and Eric Collins will serve as pallbearers. All of Deana’s grandkids and friends will be honorary pallbearers.
Deana Davis Forrer was born on November 25, 1944, in Eagle Pass, Texas to the home of Edna Geraldine (Lee) and Benjamin F. Davis, and died on August 22, 2021, in Amarillo.
Deana married Henry Andrew Forrer on July 21, 1963, he preceded her in death on June 16, 2004. She would always help her husband at harvest time. Deana was a member of the Dora Church of Christ until she moved to Amarillo in 2015. She loved to sing and would enjoy singing with the groups that would come visit from the churches in Amarillo.
Deana always remembered every birthday and anniversary and would call or text everyone when that day would come. She loved everybody and always had a smile on her face. She loved all of her family especially her grandchildren.
Deana is survived by her children, Andrew Mark Forrer and wife Carmen of Lawton, OK and Valarie Watson and husband Terry of Portales; a brother, Clyde Davis and wife Faye of Phoenix, AZ; eight grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Henry, her parents, Edna and Benjamin Davis, and a brother, Frankie Davis.
