Obituary
Danny Jack Heflin, Jr. was an inspiring, honest, hardworking man who was loved by all who knew him. Danny passed away peacefully on Feb. 5, 2023, at the age of 49, in the arms of his family at the end of his third fight against cancer. His wife of 20 years, Heather Heflin, as well as his children, Cole and Raylynn Heflin were the light of his life, and will continue to “keep on keepin’ on” in his memory.
Danny was born on April 16, 1973, to his loving parents, Janny Enoch (Haley-Heflin) and Danny Heflin here in Portales, NM. He was and still is, treasured by his sisters, Tracey Ganatos and Stacey Heflin, Danny’s “Aceys”, Shae Valencia and his brother, Chad Heflin.
Danny graduated from Westwood High School in Mesa, AZ, and continued to lead the family trade of working hard, whether it be framing houses, installing glass in skyscrapers, or running the family glass company, All Glass. Danny and Heather opened their business, All Glass, in 2005 after moving to Portales with his children, Cole and Raylynn. Not only was Danny Heflin a devoted, hard worker/business owner, he was also a loved father, a cherished husband, adored son, respected brother, and an overall amazing friend who genuinely loved his family.
Danny was also one of the funniest people you could be lucky enough to chat with, no matter the situation. He would always find a way to put a smile on your face, whether you like it or not. The time that Danny spent on this earth truly enriched the lives of those around him, and he has left a legacy that will no doubt be carried on by his friends and family.
Although Danny Heflin has passed, his spirit lives on with us, reminding us to work hard, but always love harder. He will be missed infinitely, but he would want us to be resilient in this devastating time, and make sure to find the silver lining to every situation. If you can’t find that silver lining, find yourself a silver sharpie, and do it yourself.
Danny Heflin’s services will be held on Feb. 25 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Little Old Little New Venue, and is open to all who want to celebrate his life.
