Eastern New Mexico Cross Country Head Coach Josh Harden has announced the programs schedule for the 2022 season.
“I’m excited about our schedule, I believe it gives our group a great opportunity to show growth throughout the season,” said Harden. “We have some challenging meets to really push our top returners, while providing our key underclassmen some opportunities to gain some valuable experience we need to compete in the LSC,”.
ENMU begins its campaign in Abilene, Texas with the ACU Naimadu Classic set for Friday, Sept. 2. Then, the Greyhounds travel to Lubbock, Texas for a meet at Texas Tech on Sept. 17.
Eastern returns to the “Land of Enchantment” for their next meet, heading to Hobbs, N.M. to compete at New Mexico Junior College on Sept. 23 to close out the month. October begins with a trip to fellow Lone Star Conference (LSC) opponent Midwestern State for the Mustang Open on Oct. 5 in Wichita Falls.
For the first time in over a decade, the Greyhounds will host their own meet as part of the regular season. The Hounds will take a course in Clovis, N.M. on Oct. 15 to wrap up the regular season. Then, ENMU will compete at the 2022 LSC Cross Country Championships on Nov. 5 (hosted by Midwestern State). Following the LSC Championship, the Greyhounds will hope to send runners to the NCAA Division II South Central Regional Championships, held on Nov. 19 in Denver, Colo.
