The Lady Rams volleyball team have been having a good season so far. Their most recent match was against Roswell High in Roswell. Portales went into the game 5-1, looking to add another win to their record.
The Lady Coyotes proved to be a tough opponent though, and the two teams fought for a win in 5 sets. Roswell came out on top at the end of the 5th, but Portales put up a fight.
The first match ended 25-22 in Roswell’s favor. Set 2 was won by Portales 25-19. They won the 3rd set also with a score of 25-23. The 4th set was won by Roswell 25-15 and the 5th and final set was won by them as well. The final 2 wins for Roswell solidified the game win for them, giving Portales only their 2nd loss so far this season. The final score of the game was 3-2 for Roswell.
The Lady Rams are now 5-2 this season. They will face Ruidoso on Tuesday, September 14 at 6 PM in Ruidoso.
