Obituary
Graveside services for Clarence Roy Thompson, 95, will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Friday, December 30, 2022, in the Floyd Cemetery, Floyd, NM, with Peter Dahlstrom officiating.
Clarence Roy Thompson was born on November 1, 1923, in Sayer, OK to the home of Nancy Vee (Davis) and Ira Loyd Thompson. He came to Floyd, NM in 1930 and graduated from Floyd High Schools in 1941. He attended NMSU before being inducted into the Army in 1944..
Clarence married Letha Opal Green on December 30, 1945, and had been married 76 years on their anniversary December 30, 2021. Letha passed away on May 13, 2022.
Clarence is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Sheila Thompson of Lubbock, TX; a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Bob Wiggins of Lakeview, TX; a son, Lyndell Thompson; five grandsons; one granddaughter; sixteen great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
Clarence is preceded in death by his wife Letha; a daughter, Nancy; a son, David; his parents, and one brother.
The family would like to thank all of the staff of the Farwell Care & Rehab for the care they provided for Clarence.
