CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF PORTALES, NEW MEXICO
THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO ATTEND THE PORTALES CITY COUNCIL’S MEETING TO BE HELD at
5:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in the Council Chambers in the Memorial Building, at 200 E. 7th
Street, Portales, New Mexico. Face masks are optional for the safety of attendees. Questions,
requests, or comments from citizens should be submitted in writing to the City Clerk or City Manager by 4:00
p.m. a day prior to the meeting. Contact information for both officers is on the City’s website:

3. Resolution #22-23-29: Resolution of Sponsorship for a City of Portales TAP
Application and Maintenance Commitment.

1. Approval of an Easement Agreement to John, Debra, Justin, and Marissa Vistine
for an 11’7” (11 feet 7 inches) Encroachment at 165 Yucca Drive into the Rightof-Way running along S. Avenue G to maintain a Block Fence, Shed and Brick
Planter.
2. Request to Accept Recommendation of the Planning Commission Approving a
Variance for a Carport at 117 Colorado Drive – Anne Beck, Owner.
(H) Public Input for Which no Action will be taken – Any matter not known about, or which could
not have been reasonably foreseen prior to the time of posting of the agenda. This agenda item is for
informational purposes only.
1. Public comments will be limited to three minutes per speaker; limited to one
presentation per meeting, and no more than six (6) speakers on each subject.
2. Councilors will not respond to comments or answer questions to avoid any
violation of the Open Meetings Act.

writing during regular business hours.

for Threatened or Pending Litigation.
