Bustos Finishes 12th in the Nation in 200m Dash as Parker Qualifies for Finals 3/9/2018 | Track & Field

PITTSBURG, KAN. – Danee Bustos from the Eastern New Mexico University women’s indoor track & field team registered a 12^th-place finish in the 200m dash at the NCAA Division II Championships. Marcus Parker also had strong performances on the first day of the event, and qualified for the finals in both the 60 and 200m dashes.
Bustos’ time of 24.80 allowed her to finish .14 seconds ahead of Minnesota State’s Afure Adah. The 12^th-place finish earned Second Team All-American honors.

Parker posted the fifth-best time in the 60m dash at 6.71, to place second in heat 2 and qualify for Saturday’s finals. He also had the fifth-place time in the 200m dash at 21.36 and won heat 1.

On Saturday, Kenneth Lloyd will compete in the high jump, in addition to Parker’s participating in the sprint finals.
