The Rosary for Bard Martin Encinias, 21, of Portales, was recited at 9:30 AM, Wed., June 30, 2021 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Portales. The Mass of the Resurrection followed at 10:00 AM with Fr. Francisco Carbajal officiating. Burial followed at the Portales Cemetery with Christian Rodriguez, Jeremiah Rodriguez, Noel Gonzales, Angel Trevizo, Steven Gonzales and Lucas Garcia serving as pallbearers. All of his uncles and cousins were honorary pallbearers.

Brad Martin Encinias was born June 9, 2000 in Clovis to Jami Diane Gilman and Brad Theodore Encinias and died June 23, 2021 in Lubbock, TX. Brad grew up in Socorro with his dad until he was 15, when he came to Portales to live with his mother. He worked at various odd jobs for different people in the community. Brad enjoyed playing his guitar. He was very mechanically minded. He would often take things apart to see how they worked, and then try to modify them to make them better.

He is survived by his mother, Jami Torres of Portales; his father and step-mother, Brad and Althea Encinias of Polvadera, NM; three brothers, Patricio Gilman of Portales, Francisco Encinias of Socorro, NM and Arturo Garcia of Polvadera, NM; his twin sister, Jasmine Gilman of Portales, as well as five other sisters, Filomena Encinias and Felicity Encinias both of Polvadera, NM, Kyosha Garcia of Roswell, NM, Katana Garcia of Dallas, TX and Judy Garcia of Las Vegas, NM; as well as other relative and family members.
