Bountiful Baskets are back!!

BBFC is an innovative organization that brings food to consumers at unprecedentedly low costs by harnessing consumer power over the internet. 100% of contributions made for food items are spent on food.

This is a grass-roots, all volunteer, no contracts, no catch co-operative. Without volunteers, this co-op wouldn’t happen.

There are many opportunities to participate!

We were just a few months shy of 3 years having not been an active Bountiful Basket Food Co-op site.  Portales is now the “B” week, if you live in Clovis it is “A” week.

I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am that baskets are back.  I promise either place you purchase it is worth the time & drive.  Suggestion for someone wanting to order, but afraid it is to much food, split it with someone!

Reasons to Participate:

• This is a great deal, and you are helping others get a great deal, too. With the conventional produce offering, you get approximately $50 worth of grocery store-quality produce.

• This co-op encourages a healthier lifestyle.

• You meet great people!

How the Coop works:

As a group, we purchase items at deep discounts. Items are then distributed evenly among participants.

Some details:

• Monetary contributions are made by participants via the website toward a pool of money used to purchase products.

• The amount of money required for participation in each pool must be contributed by the deadline(s) listed (see Contribution Schedule table on the homepage of our website listed below).

• Specific details about the item(s) offered are sent via email.

• For produce baskets, we purchase from a warehouse that supplies produce to many local restaurants and grocery stores.  Baskets generally have 6 fruit and 6 vegetable items.

We get a variety of high-quality seasonal produce. We balance variety with seasonality in order to get the most appealing and cost-effective basket possible.

There are add-ons offered as well.

You must purchase a basket in order to order an add-on.

Examples of add-ons might be a case of apples, flat of berries, granola, bread, coconut oil.  There might be a juice pack that will have all the fruits and veggies you need for juicing, or a Holiday pack that has everything you need to decorate cookies, St Patty might have cabbage, carrots potatoes.  Prices on these vary as does what is offered from week to week.

Contributions open Mondays at noon, next order for Portales is the 25th.  The site is open until Tuesday at 10PM or we cap out(allotted 96 baskets). Basically, ordering would be every other Monday and pick up the following Saturday of that week.

Baskets are paid for at the time of order either debit or credit card.   You would pick up on the 30th at 1:15. If you are volunteering, show up at 12:15.  When you pick up you show a receipt of your contribution either a print out or a digital copy.  If for some reason you are unable to pick up, and make arrangements for someone else to, they must provide a copy of the receipt as well.  There is a 20 minutes window after the appointed pick-up time for pick up.  If you do not show and attempts to reach you have been unsuccessful the basket will be donated to the fire department.

We cannot operate without our volunteers. So thankful and appreciative to those that give back.
