Belsora Esparza Obituary
The Rosary for Belsora Esparza, 59, of Roswell, NM will be recited at 9:00 AM, Mon., Mar. 10, 2025 at St. Helen Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:00 AM with Fr. Francisco Carbajal as celebrant. Marco Esparza, Jesus Esparza, Daemyn Alba, Johan Esparza, Julian Pena and Samuel Pena will serve as pallbearers.
Belsora Esparza was born July 19, 1965 in Pecos, TX to the home of Maria Consuelo (Cruz) and Benjamin Pena, and died Mar. 2, 2025 in El Paso, TX following a brief illness. Mrs. Esparza grew up in Portales where she attended school. On May 10, 1986, in Morton, TX she was married to Luis Esparza. They made their home in various places until finally settling in Bovina, TX in 1998. Mrs. Esparza was employed at Cargill Meat Solutions in Bovina from 1998 until 2015. She retired after 17 years, and moved to Roswell, NM to live near two of her children.
Mrs. Esparza enjoyed thrift stores and garage sales. All her life she loved to travel. It did not really matter where; she was always ready to go. She was very meticulous about her house, and particularly attentive to laundry. Everything had to be just so.
She is survived by her husband, Luis of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Marco and Marisela Esparza of El Paso, TX and Jesus Esparza of Roswell, NM; a daughter, Maria Pena of Roswell; eight grandchildren, Lluvia Alba, Daemyn Alba, Jezenia Alba, Johan Esparza, Julian Pena, Mirelli Lucero, Jaida Esparza and Jovanni Pena; four brothers, Pablo Pena of Portales, Benjamin Pena of Concord, NC, Luis Pena of Maricopa, AZ and Smauel (Laura) Pena of Casa Grande, AZ; and two sisters, Juanita Meza of Elida and Elvia (Joe) Garcia of Portales. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maria and Benjamin Pena, two brothers, Jesus and Margarito Pena and three sisters, Sara Cavazos, Mercedes Duran and Avada Meza.
