DALLAS, TEXAS – First baseman Jesse Becton homered for the Eastern New Mexico University baseball team in its second game at the Dallas Christian College Tournament, Friday at Crusader Field. The Greyhounds (1-1) dropped a 9-2 decision to Mid-America Christian (2-2) and winning their opening game of the season for the fifth straight season.

- Alex DeLaCruz tripled with two outs in the bottom of the third inning and scored the game’s first run on a wild pitch
- Two leadoff walks in the top of the fourth followed by a pair of errors allowed the Evangels to take a 2-1 lead
- ENMU tied the game in the bottom of the inning on Becton’s first homer of the season
- MACU plated two runs in the fifth and five more in the sixth inning for the win
