FROM THE SOURCE
“We gave ourselves no chance when we give up multiple runs in the first and allow guys to get on base without earning it,” said Head Baseball Coach Riley Price. “It’s hard to play our style when that happens, and they beat us at our own game so far this weekend. Offensively, we haven’t been too bad, but not great,” said Price. “We have to string hits together better and build some momentum early and often to beat good teams. You can’t give free bases to good teams because they will continue to make you pay and that’s what has happened all weekend,” said Price. “We need to get back to us regardless of the scoreboard and be more competitive and scrappy all around. Really need to salvage the weekend tomorrow and play a cleaner game,” said Price. “Respond has been the word used often with this group as well as controlling the controllables, so we will see how we take that to heart tomorrow regardless of the end game result”.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
