Eastern New Mexico student-athlete Caroline Bachman was named to the 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-District Track & Field/Cross Country First Team, as announced by CoSIDA on Thursday morning.
Bachman has competed for the Greyhounds for the last four years with both the indoor/outdoor track and field programs and the cross country team. During her junior year, at the Indoor Lone Star Conference (LSC) Championships she placed 14th in the 800-meter and helped the Greyhound 4×400 relay team to a fourth-place finish.
She is a three-time track and field LSC All-Academic Team honoree, has been on the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll every semester, and earned the 2020-21 LSC Scholar-Athlete Award.
The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-August.
