The annual Veterans Days Program was held today at the Memorial Building sponsored by American Legion, Carl McDermott Post 31.  The welcome was by Dale Streeter, Commander American Legion Post 31.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Posting of the colors was conducted by David Myers and Vivian Cato from American Legion Post 31.  Dale Streeter led the group in the singing of The Star Spangled Banner.  A proclamation from Mayor Sharon King was read by Mr. Streeter.   Col. John P. Boudreaux, USAF Commander, 27th. Special Operations Mission Support Group was the key note speaker with a special Veterans Day address.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A special presentation was made to Dr. Gamble on behalf of the American Legion.  A very moving presentation by Joe Blair on the meaning of the stars and stripes in the American flag followed up Franklin Smith singing America the Beautiful.  Playing of Taps and the retirement of the colors concluded the ceremony.
