Lopez, Michael Grace, Jr., Michael Trujillo, Ray Sainz, Gabriel Montoya and Colby Villanueva serving as pallbearers.

Amber Nevaeh Lopez was born Dec. 23, 2005 in Las Cruces, NM to the home of Merecedes Helene (Shields) and Fabian Lopez, Jr. and passed from this life on Aug. 8, 2023 in Mansfield, TX where she had been living since 2019.  Her family moved to Portales, when she was three years old.  Since moving to Mansfield in 2019, she had been attending Legacy High School where she was about to enter her senior year.

Amber had the most beautiful eyes, and a smile that would light up the room.  She loved to make videos that she would post on social media, or perform at home.  Amber had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed doing silly dances and cutting up.  During her younger school years, she played basketball and volleyball.  She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Mansfield where she was active in the Youth Group.

She had a huge heart, and was always concerned for others, and wanted to help any way that she could.  Amber had planned to enter some sort of helping profession, and would have soon achieved a Certificate in Criminal Justice.  She would have made a great lawyer, because she could very effectively argue her case.

She is survived by her parents, Mercedes and Fabian Lopez, Jr. of Mansfield, TX; a brother, Fabian Lopez, III, and twin sisters, Anya and Alexa Lopez all of the family home in Mansfield; her best friend, “Rosie,” her American Bulldog; her great-grandparents, Beatrice and Jake Lopez of Portales, Helen Shields of Tularosa, NM and Estella Guerra also of Tularosa; her grandparents, Becky and Fabian Lopez of Portales and Teresa and Billy Shields of Tularosa; her aunts Adriana Shields of Tularosa and Esperansa Guerra of Albuquerque and an uncle, Jacob Lopez of Hobbs; as well as countless cousins and other family members.  She was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Mela and Alfonso Villanueva, Stan Shields and Rudy Guerra.
