FORT COLLINS, COLO. – Amari Joseph scored seven points and grabbed four rebounds to lead the Eastern New Mexico University women’s basketball team in Thursday night’s exhibition finale at Moby Arena. The Hounds took an early lead on a trey from Jasmine Hotchkins, but Colorado State pulled away for a 75-35 victory.
Eastern held an 11-8 edge on the offensive boards, although the Aggies finished with a 43-31 lead in total rebounds. Mikaehla Connor and Brandi Gomez each chipped in five points for the Greyhounds. Shelby Jones grabbed six rebounds. Callie Kaiser paced CSU with 14 points.
The Eastern New Mexico University women’s basketball team will return to action on Saturday, to face cross-state rival, New Mexico Highlands. The game is scheduled to tip off at 2 p.m. MT.
