Almog Ready for Saturday’s National Championship Meet

PORTALES, NM – On Saturday afternoon, the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships will be held in Evansville, Ind. The Eastern New Mexico University men’s team will be represented by Omer Almog. The University of Southern Indiana will host the championship meet.

???????Almog was the Lone Star Conference’s lone individual qualifier for the championships, and will be joined by West Texas A&M. Four teams from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference qualified for the meet.
???????Almog reached the championships on the strength of his 14^th-place finish at the South Central Region Championships, earlier this month. He completed the 10k run with a time of 31:25.75. Last month, Almog garnered All-LSC status with a 15^th-place performance at the conference championship meet.

The men’s championship race is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. MT.
