Washington, DC — On Wednesday, August 11, U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will hold a media call to announce a major investment in broadband infrastructure in rural communities.
Secretary Vilsack will be joined by Jim Matheson from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, Dale Moore from the American Farm Bureau, and Shirley Bloomfield from NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association for the announcement.
Tomorrow’s announcement comes following the U.S. Senate’s passage of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, a bipartisan and historic investment in broadband that will ensure every American has access to reliable, high speed internet and will create millions of good-paying jobs and put America on a new path to win the race for the economy in the 21st century.
