LUBBOCK, TEXAS – After a strong opening to the season last week, the Eastern New Mexico University indoor track & field teams returned to Lubbock, for the Texas Tech University Open. Strong performances by Marcus Parker and Adilene Adamehighlighted the event’s first day of action.
Parker took second in the 60m dasah at the meet, with a atime of 6.74. He was the first NCAA Division II competitor to cross the finish line in the event, which was won by Texas Tech’s Divine Oduduru at 6.58. Parker’s time ranks fourth in the country and earned provisional qualification for the NCAA Championships.
Adame took seventh in the shot put with team-record a toss of 51′-0.25″.
The Eastern New Mexico University indoor track & field teams will continue competition at the Texas Tech Open on Saturday.
