Local Economic Development Department Launched Innovative Façade Program to
Enhance Community Appearance and Boost Economic Growth

In December 2022, the Roosevelt County Community Development Corporation
(RCCDC) launched a façade grant program, aimed at revitalizing the city and county’s
commercial areas and fostering economic growth. The transformative initiative assisted
local businesses in improving the visual appeal of their storefronts, contributing to a
vibrant and attractive community for residents and visitors alike. To date, the RCCDC
has awarded 13 businesses with the façade improvement grants.

The Façade Program was designed to provide financial incentives and guidance to
eligible businesses in Roosevelt County looking to upgrade their storefronts and facades.
By offering a $1,500 reimbursable grant, the program aimed to remove financial barriers
and encourage business owners to invest in their properties, thereby enhancing the overall
aesthetic appeal of the city/county’s commercial corridors.

The program offered a range of improvements including, but not limited to façade
renovations, signage improvements, lighting upgrades and other enhancements that
contribute to an appealing and cohesive streetscape.

Partnering with our local businesses creates an environment that attracts new customers,
retains existing ones, and generates a positive economic impact for our community.
