COMMERCE, TEXAS -The Eastern New Mexico University softball team (17-26; LSC 10-11) concluded its three-game Lone Star Conference series against Texas A&M-Commerce (26-12; LSC 11-7), on Saturday afternoon at Cain Family Field. After the teams split on Friday, the Lions won the series with an 8-0 decision in the finale.

After a scoreless first inning, A&M-Commerce got on the board with a RBI single from Jordyn Sharp in the second. The Lions plated six runs in the inning and added single runs in the fourth and sixth frame. The contest ended after the Lions took an eight run lead.
The Lions had the bases loaded with one out in the fifth frame, but Greyhound pitcher Kaylee Rogers escaped the jam by inducing ground balls to Kylee Keller and Susannah Chandler.
The Eastern New Mexico University softball team will return to action on Tuesday, when they visit Oklahoma Christian. The non-conference doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. MST.
